Dharmshala
Shake Hands situated in
remote/rural areas of Dharmshala with our India volunteer program
which aims at serving the underprivileged and marginalized rural
community of this beautiful mountain region by creating educational
and health programs with international volunteers.
Dharmshala a twin town
city; divided into lower and upper towns with a difference of 457m
(1500ft.) between them. The mountains enfold 3 sides of the town and
the valley stretches to the south. Dharmshala is known for its scenic
beauty, calmness and tranquility. It has high pine trees, tea gardens
and timber yielding trees. Dharmshala is now the seat of His Holiness,
the Dalai Lama. After the Chinese conquest of his country, Dharmshala
is evocative of the imperial days in places like McLeodganj and
Forsytheganj. Dharmshala is the headquarters of the Kangra district.
