Street Children
In the Indian cities
there are particular communities residing in temporary tents besides
the streets. These people are illiterate and lacking the basic
amenities of life in addition to this they had no measures of birth
control and therefore on an average one family had approx. 4 to 6
children. These children are called as street children.
They work all day long picking up garbage, iron pieces and making
small toys from waste material and selling it to earn money for their
bread & butter. The children are also involved with the elders of
family to assist them in work. They do not go to school, as they are
not able to bear the expenses of school fee, books and uniform. They
are also totally unaware of nutrition, health, hygiene etc. They use
to live in very dirty and stinking atmosphere and they are living
under the poverty line. Organization is working among these children.
We are mainly focusing for their upliftment by teaching, and providing
general awareness of health, hygiene and nutrition to the children to
make their living standard better which is helpful for diverting the
track of their living style and to rehabilitate in better manner.
