Spacial Volunteering Program for High School Students

If you're in the 16 to 19 age group and looking for volunteer abroad, why not choose India as volunteering work experience?

Aimed to give you valuable volunteer work experience or develop a particular skill in two to four weeks, these placements are structured to allow high school students to make the most of a short time overseas while contributing to community service hours credit, CAS requirements, or college applications.

The high school student group will have various volunteer options. Once enrolled, the group will have the chance to select the volunteer work activity that best fits your goal or interest. Students will always receive their first preference. We can usually arrange projects for groups in Jaipur and program categories that we specifically recommend for families include:

Day 1: Pickup and Transfer

Once you get picked up from the airport you will be taken to volunteer's house in Jaipur. You will to our local team and give you a house introduction.

>Day 2: Orientation

Next day of your arrival in volunteer house Jaipur, you will have program orientation with the program manager to understand entire volunteer program and activities and then taken to see nearby things.

Day 3-7: Volunteering

After breakfast you will be going to the project site to get introduced to the children and local teachers. One of our staff will be with you at all times.

On working days, volunteers get up and make their own breakfast before heading out to their volunteer sites. Our staff provides transportation to and from the volunteer site of your choice. At the volunteer site, you will spend approximately four hours. Lunch is included and will be served at 1pm upon return to the volunteer house. Open afternoons provide volunteers the opportunity to explore Jaipur and learn about the local culture and customs. Evening meals provide another exciting chance to enjoy authentic food provided by our staff cooks. The food is delicious and healthy and takes full advantage of local cooking traditions. The weekends are free time, where you can choose to relax or explore the local area. Volunteers often travel to other parts of the country on the weekends. If you don't know where to go don't worry; ask the staff, they are always happy to make recommendations.

A beyond epic experience! I would highly recommend this to anyone! I made the decision to come alone to India after finishing a placement year at high school and it was one of the best decisions of my life! I was part of the Street Kids program for 4 weeks. The program is a fantastic experience! I had a small group of children and in 4 weeks saw a big chance in the children. All in all this is a life changing experience! You get to experience a completely different country and culture. You get the chance to appreciate how lucky you are to have basic things! You will no doubt meet some amazing people! It's value for money and I would encourage anybody to make a life changing decision!
