Volunteer for women empowerment program offers a unique experience for volunteering to positively affect the lives of young women and girls in the rural areas of India.

The program gives volunteers the opportunity to teach, inspire young females. The volunteers spend the afternoons teaching these young women English speaking, basic computer skills, along with many other encouraging lessons like self defense, first aid etc. These positive interactions help build up the confidence in these young women. Your help will not only change the lives of the girls but it will also considerably change your life as well.

Jaipur is the capital city of the northern Indian state Rajasthan. Jaipur is one of the most vibrant and colorful cities in India, where you find a mixture of traditional roots and as well the impact of modern globalization. Forts, palaces and Havelis are found at several places; especially in the old city, which is surrounded by pink walls, hence the name Pink City.

We provide an opportunity to work in several volunteer programs in Jaipur. The orphan childcare and street children education programs are sited within the city limits of Jaipur. Rest of the programs is in rural locations within a range of 25 km from Jaipur city.


At your arrival, our driver will reach the airport to pick you up. With a placard displaying your name, you can meet the driver in the arrival hall, past immigration/customs/baggage claim.


Next day after your arrival at the destination, an orientation will be organized to introduce you to the rules and regulation of the organization, Indian history, its culture & traditions and fundamentals for each program where you will gain an understanding of the entire volunteer program you signed up for.

  • On working days, volunteers / interns get up and make their own breakfast before heading out to their volunteer sites.
  • Our staff provides transportation to and from the volunteer site of their choice.
  • Lunch is included and will be served at 1 pm after returning to the volunteer house.
  • In afternoons, you can get the opportunity to explore Jaipur and learn about the local culture and customs.
  • At the time of evening meals, you are offered delicious and healthy food prepared by our staff cooks.
  • The weekends are free time, where the you can choose to relax or explore the local areas.
  • Volunteers / interns often choose to travel to other parts of the country on the weekends.
  • If you don't know where to go, don't worry, just ask the staff, they are always happy to give good recommendations for you


Volunteers are provided accommodation in our volunteer house at Jaipur which is a building owned by the organization. The volunteer house is a safe, secure, and independent multi-floored building which is in the northern part of Jaipur. You can reach the center of Jaipur in 30 minutes by Auto Rickshaw. The house has 3 floors and contains 8 shared bedrooms with suite washrooms. All washrooms have a shower and a western toilet. There are a kitchen and a living room on each floor. During the summer season, the rooms are provided with Air Conditioner facility at night.

The cook serves quality and delicious Indian vegetarian food to the volunteers and UV treated & Ozonated water is provided in the home, which is clean and safe to drink.

During the weekends, volunteers have spare time to relax or take the opportunity to explore Jaipur or travel further afield to destinations, such as Agra, Pushkar, Ranthambhore, and others. Volunteers can make travel arrangements after arriving in Jaipur. However, we highly recommend Volunteer and Travel Program option if you are looking for travel during volunteering in Jaipur. Qualification: Volunteers are wished to participate in this program with an open mind, giving heart, and flexibility to work with different age ranges of children.

Duration: This program is available for durations ranging from 4 week to 24 weeks.

**We arrange 2/3 sessions of Yoga every week while volunteering in Jaipur for free. However, there is a compulsory purchase of Sankalp Volunteer's t-shirt and Yoga mat which costs $25/person.
