Volunteer Work Abroad and Travel Program in India

This volunteer work abroad experience will give you an opportunity to make a difference in the world and someone's life, while the travel will lead you to discover India. Grass root volunteering with a purpose and travel with a premium cultural tour program within the affordable price, are the main features of this program.

As a volunteer you will be participating in Street children education, English Teaching or Orphanage Volunteer Work Program at our Jaipur location while traveling on every weekend. The travel program will be safe and will bring you to culturally rich destinations in India where volunteers can immerse in the local culture and enrich their knowledge about India and its heritage.

Day 01: On India Arrival

Personal meet at Jaipur airport and transfer to the volunteer house

Day 02: Orientation

An orientation will be organized about the program the next day of arrival

Day 03 - 07

Volunteer Work begins

Day 08 - 09 (Sat - Sun) : Trip to Agra - City of Taj Mahal

On Saturday you will be traveled to the hotel in Agra and a visit to the stunning Taj Mahal is planned for the next day.

Day 10 - 14 (Mon- Fri)

Day 15 - 16 (Sat - Sun) : Ranthambhore Tiger Safari Safari

This weekend we will take you to Ranthambhore's Tiger Reserve National Park for an overnight stay and in the next early morning (06:00-10:00) you'll be taken to experience the adventurous Tiger/Jangal Safari.

Day 17 - 21 (Mon - Fri)

Day 22 - 23 (Sat - Sun) : Pushkar Visit

After breakfast, we will drive you to Pushkar. Pushkar is one of the most sacred pilgrimage places for Hindus and famous for its only Brahma Temple in the world.

Day 23 - 24 (Sun - Mon) : Jaisalmer Visit

Check-in to the hotel and visit Jaisalmer fort in the evening to see its fascinating beauty in the dark. The next day in the early morning a visit to Gadisar Lake will be planned to see the sunrise. Afterward, we will return to the Hotel for breakfast, followed by Jaisalmer sightseeing and market visit. In the afternoon, we will proceed to the Thar Desert.

Day 24 - 25 (Mon - Tue) : Desert Visit and Camel Safari

In the afternoon we will visit a desert village and enjoy a camel ride to Sunset Point and sand dunes. When taking the camel safari, you'll explore the true experience and delights of the desert. Immerse in the spirit of Rajasthan all through the night by staying in the mud-huts, meeting warm rustic people of Rajasthan and have a touch of their culture with their enchanting music, folk dance and singing performances and other cultural programs.

Day 25 - 26 (Tue - Wed) : Jodhpur Visit

Now, we will move to a hotel in Jodhpur. If possible, we'll visit the local markets in the evening. On the next day; we will visit Mehrangarh Fort after breakfast and then check-out from the Hotel.

We will head back to Jaipur and will reach there before dinner.

In this 4 weeks Volunteer Work Abroad & Travel Program you may participate in one of available volunteer program at Jaipur location. Here abroad volunteer can participate/ immerse in local culture and enrich their knowledge about India and its heritage and culture.

Jaipur is one of the UNESCO world heritage sites in India, where you find a mixture of traditional roots and as well the impact of modern globalization. Forts, palaces and Havelis are be found at several places; especially in the old city, which is surrounded by pink walls, hence the name.

Arrival in India

You have to arrange a flight to Jaipur International Airport fitting with the starting date of your program and flight details must be given to us by email before arriving. On arrival at Jaipur airport you will meet our driver who waits outside of exit gate with a placard displaying your name. He will take you to volunteer house by car, it's a 45 minute drive.


Next day of your arrival, we will organize orientation on volunteer work and travel program where you will gain an understanding on entire volunteer activity that you chose, travel itinerary introduction to rules and regulations of the organization, Indian history, its culture, and traditions.

On working days, volunteers get up and make their breakfast before heading out to their volunteer sites. Our staff provides daily transportation to and from the volunteer site of their choice. At the volunteer site, they spend approximately 4-5 hours. Lunch is included and gets served at 1 pm after returning to the volunteer house. Afternoons provide volunteers the opportunity to explore Jaipur and learn about the local culture and customs. Evening meals provide another exciting chance to enjoy tasty and healthy Indian food provided by our staff cooks.

During Volunteering

The volunteer work and travel program participant are provided accommodation in our volunteer house which is safe and secure multi-stored building owned by the Sankalp Voluntary Organization itself. The center of Jaipur is just 30 minutes away by tuk-tuk / cab. The house has 3 floors and contains 8 shared bedrooms attaching with washrooms. All washrooms have a hot shower and a western toilet. The cook serves quality Indian vegetarian food to the abroad volunteers. UV treated & Ozonized water is also provided in the home, which is clean and safe to drink. Daily lunch and dinner are included.

During Travel

The volunteers will be provided 3/4 star hotel accommodation sharing with other volunteers; air-conditioned and attached with western style washrooms. The participants may have meals of their own choice by paying tab amount at their own. Breakfast is provided by the hotels.

We make safety a high priority for all international volunteers. Our volunteer program has been running since 2006 and we have had the great joy in welcoming hundreds of abroad volunteers in India. You can trust us because we have extensive experience in caring for and protecting all of our volunteers. We provide safety within the house and at the project locations, transportation, and any emergencies that may arise.

We do not organize any voluneer and travel program that could endanger the safety of any international volunteer in any possible way. We are very proud of our ongoing commitment and provision of safety during Volunteer Work and Travel program. Since 2006, we have had hundreds of abroad volunteers within the age group of 16-65 years of age, with a maximum of 30 volunteers at the house, with no miss-happening ever.

To continue our priority and contract with safety, our Sankalp Voluntary Organization maintains some rules and regulations for the volunteer's personal safety and we request our volunteers follow them.

Age Limit: 16 Years +

Qualification: Volunteers must participate in this volunteer work and travel program with an open mind, giving heart, and flexibility to work with different age ranges of children.

You can start 'Volunteer and Travel Abroad Program' on any Thursday in October, November, December, January, February and March each year for either the duration of three weeks or four weeks.
