Sankalp has been honored to host over 2500 international volunteers with us for years, and we continue to welcome more enthusiastic participants each year. The programs are flexible, ranging from 1 to 24 weeks duration. You can start your volunteer in India program year round, whenever suits you best.
All volunteers are greeted upon arrival, given essential general tips at our comprehensive orientation, and will be accommodated with a group of other international participants to ensure a smooth start to their program of choice.

The program mission is focused on community upliftment, education, and sustainable development. Your specific role and tasks (teaching, caregiving, etc.) are detailed in your program description and Pre-Departure Guide, ensuring your contribution directly benefits the local project.
Yes, the minimum age requirement is 18 years. There is no maximum age limit.
We welcome people from any part of the world to join our programs irrespective of their home country outside India. Majority of our volunteers are from USA, UK, Europe, and Australia.
Yes, you are welcome to join our programs with a friend, family or in a group. We offer a special discounted fee for family and group bookings and can also offer a customized itinerary.
Your daily tasks depend entirely on the program you choose (e.g., teaching, childcare, renovation). A detailed itinerary, schedule, and required qualifications will be provided in the Pre-Departure Guide specific to your placement.
You will get comfortable and clean accommodation with a friendly, educated family, or caretaking staff, or in Volunteers Homes in posh Jaipur localities. You would typically share your room with other volunteers.
The fee is all-inclusive, covering your accommodation, three daily meals, transportation to the project site, orientation, pre-departure support, and in-country staff assistance from our partner. A portion also goes as a donation to directly support the local project.
Our representative would be there to receive you at the airport, holding a placard displaying your name. You will be picked up and taken by car to your accommodation. Please send your arrival information at least 10 days in advance.
You will be provided with a pre-departure manual after signing up. It has the entire list of phone numbers and addresses of our country coordinators and staff whom you can contact 24/7 in case of any emergency.
Most projects can be booked for durations starting from 1 week up to 24 weeks (6 months). We recommend a minimum of two weeks for a truly meaningful and impactful experience.
