Sankalp Volunteer Organization History
Founded in 1994, Sankalp Volunteer Society has a rich history and is recognized by the Government of India as a leading volunteer organization.
Establishment of Society (NGO)
Sankalp Volunteer Organization India got registered on 24 December 1994 under the Society Registration Act 1958 of India. We focused on social activities such as providing supplies and support in childcare & daycare centers, and running computer and English classes for women in rural areas.
Launching of Social Programs
In Oct 2006, we launched our official Volunteer Programs. This initiative aimed to secure volunteer support and financial backing to further our mission of offering better education and care to those in need.
School for Street Children
We started a dedicated school near deprived communities to offer crucial early education. The goal was to prepare children for 5 to 6 years before sending them to a Government School to pursue higher education.
Orphanage Work Program
Sankalp became one of the first organizations in India to dedicate volunteer work to serving orphanages. Our mission focuses on providing comprehensive support and services to help children living in these homes.
Volunteer and Travel Programs
We launched combined programs like the Summer Volunteer Program and Volunteering & India Expedition to generate essential funds that financially support all our volunteer projects and social initiatives.
25 Years & Excellence Award
We celebrated our 25th anniversary, marked by the prestigious 'Excellence Award 2018' from the Government of Rajasthan. By this time, we successfully hosted over 2500+ international volunteers.
