Funding Our Mission Through Your Support

The fees you pay are not only used to cover costs of services provided directly to you, but are also used for behind the scenes management of our quality volunteer programs.

Sankalp Volunteer is an independent organization and therefore does not receive government subsidization to fund our volunteer efforts. We fund our projects and achieve our social goals solely from the fees paid by our volunteers. Your contribution has a carryover effect on the local community long after you go home.

Average Distribution of Volunteer Fees

While it is difficult to determine the exact allocation of each individual contribution, we provide the average distribution below to maintain complete transparency.

Direct Expenses: 40% Average

Although you are a volunteer, your travel involves expenses that need to be covered. These include airport transfers, meals, accommodation, daily transport to projects, and travel arrangements which your fees help fund.

Indirect Expenses: 20% Average

Your experience would not be possible without our staff. This covers salaries, benefits, basic housekeeping, utilities, equipment, and communication infrastructure. It also funds necessary government registration, bookkeeping, and tax reporting.

Advertisement & Web: 15% Average

To keep our programs accessible worldwide, we must maintain our website and advertisements. This long-term investment attracts more participants; the more volunteers we have, the more we can lower our program fees!

Project Development: 20% Average

Your fees directly fund project needs: school supplies, uniforms, diapers for the orphanage, and computers for women empowerment. It also covers project building rent, utilities, and administrative expenses.

Taxes & Fees: 5% Average

This portion covers all required government taxes, bank transaction fees, and other mandatory financial costs associated with operating the organization.
